Not only is our November MVT a superb teacher, she’s also a big Mobile Legends enthusiast! Judy Ann Abella shares her favorite parts about being an Envizion CBT, what she thinks makes a tutor an MVT, and shares how E-sports help her enjoy and improve herself in this MVT feautre.
Judy on being a CBT
What do you enjoy most about working at Envizion?
The working environment because it’s stress free. Next would be our endless chit chat and food trips with my coworkers (Jule, Cyra, Regine, Alyssa, and Keith) during our breaks. Also, the parties that I’m always looking forward to because here in Envizion, we work hard and party harder!
What positive effects does being a CBT have on your life?
Being a CBT is not only about teaching students, it’s also helping me improve my skills and widen my knowledge in English.
What do you think makes a CBT an MVT?
I think what makes a CBT an MVT is making your students comfortable during the lesson, adjust when necessary, and as much as possible – use simple words when explaining to your students for them to understand better.
How do you provide “More than Tsada” lessons?
I provide “More than Tsada” lessons by going beyond my students’ expectations. I make sure that I look professional when conducting lessons, and I always wear my best smile.
What motivates you to work hard everyday?
My students’ “I will take your lesson again”, “Thank you for teaching me”, and “I enjoyed your lesson”. These words motivate me to work hard everyday.
Judy on life
If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
I would like to be a butterfly because just like butterflies. It passed stages of development before it could fly. I’m still a work in progress and not yet fully developed so I’m waiting for my day to fly.
Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
Yes, I would like to work on my self-confidence. Most of the time, I doubt myself and think I’m not good enough. I don’t want to bring the same negativity this 2020.
If you could live in a book, TV show, or movie, what would it be? Why?
I’m not into reading books and watching TV shows or movies, but I’m hooked on playing Mobile Legends because when you play this game you become someone with supernatural powers and do things you never get to do in real life. Other than that, you learn how to focus, strategize, and assess your skills that are useful for the situation at hand.
If you weren’t a CBT now, what would you be doing?
I think I would still be teaching students but in a real classroom setting. I will make use of my knowledge and skills in teaching.
If you had one day left to live, what would you do first?
The first thing that I would do is to ask forgiveness. I will take this last chance to say sorry to my family, friends, and others for the hurt I may have caused them.
