MVT Spotlight: Tanya Besinga

August MVT (2)

Envizion’s Most Valuable Tutor for the month of October is Tanya Besinga! Even though she’s quite a fresh face in the office, Tanya has already left a mark on her students and the company. Let’s get to know this happy-go-lucky tutor in this feature.

Tanya on being a CBT

I had my doubts working here from the very beginning because I had no background in teaching but I guess here in Envizion there really are chances for everyone, everywhere.

How did you find out about Envizion?
I found out through my friends who previously worked here.  It got me intrigued because they all said that they had a grand time working here.

What do you enjoy most about working at Envizion?
Aside from getting to know another culture and meeting new people, I love how fun the working environment here is.  Also, I enjoy debating with myself whether or not I would buy food from other tutors (most of the time I end up giving in to my cravings). Kidding aside, I love how amiable the people here are.  If ever I have queries I could always rely on Ate Charity and she would explain it in a “More than Tsada” way. Honestly, all of the people here are very pleasant like Ruzzle, Jule, Team C1 and of course Batch 35 (Erekha, Kith, Apple, Astrid, Pie, Jezel, Grecille and Jycyl) just to name a few. I had my doubts working here from the very beginning because I had no background in teaching but I guess here in Envizion there really are chances for everyone, everywhere.

How do you conduct “More than Tsada” lessons?
Let’s be honest, it’s not always sunny when you want to learn something new, there will be days when you just want to rest because you’re tired from school or work, so I make it a point that whenever I conduct classes I make it fun and memorable for them.

What motivates you to work hard every day?
Aside from the salary (hahaha), I do everything for my family.  I know it sounds cliché but without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. They are the people who always motivate me to do and be better and I am always grateful to be reminded of that everyday.

Your number one tip to become a good CBT?
I’m not really sure since I’m still  new in Envizion but I always try to enjoy everything that I do here in this company.  I make it a habit to always wear my best smile whenever I conduct classes and to make it as fun as possible so that it will be more memorable for them.

If you really want to achieve something why wait for a new year? Why not do it today, right?

Describe yourself in 3 words. Why?
I guess I am resilient because whenever life knocks me down, I just get back up (yes, that’s from a song, haha!). Also, some said that I am a happy-go-lucky type of person because they would always see me smiling.  Lastly, I am very family-oriented; my family and I are very close, especially now that we got older and for me, they would always come first above anything else.

Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions?
I gave up having New Year’s Resolutions the moment I realized that if you really want to achieve something why wait for a new year? Why not do it today, right?

If you weren’t a CBT now, what would you be doing?
If I weren’t a CBT now, I would probably be a flight attendant going to different places and meeting new people.

If you could get any gift for Christmas, what would you like and why?
I don’t really want anything this Christmas because I am happily contented with what I have today. I know that He has blessed me with so much especially for this year. So, I’ll make a wish, instead. First, I wish for my family’s health. I always pray that my family would live a happy and healthy life. Second, I hope that everyone this Christmas would have something to eat, may it be big or small. Christmas is a day for celebration and we all should at least feel that, even if it’s just for this special occasion.
