Diplomatic, empathetic, and always hungry for food. That’s how our January MVT describes herself. However, her recent award is just one of the proofs that there is more to this girl than these 3 words. Let’s read on and discover more about the powerhouse tutor that is Geffel Rodrigora.
Geffel as a CBT
Q: How did you come to work at Envizion?
I was invited by a friend who was already working here. At around 8 AM, she texted me about the job description. By 9:30 AM, I was already in the company’s reception area.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Envizion?
Seeing my loyal students really warms up my heart. I don’t feel like I’m just conducting classes with them. Instead, I feel like I’m helping out a good friend.
Q: What is the most rewarding thing about your job; what makes it all worthwhile?
My students became my good friends! They book my lessons just to talk about their personal lives and it makes me feel trusted and valued.
Q: What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? Why?
I’ve always dreamed of being a flight attendant. I want to see the world and be amazed by God’s wonderful and diverse creation!
Q: How do you keep a healthy work/life balance?
One thing I love about working in Envizion is that I am able to leave work at work. As soon as my shift ends, I enjoy watching movies at home or I spend time with people that I love.
Q: What advice do you have for someone just starting out in the company?
Don’t worry about not being at the top of your game everyday. It’s normal to feel nervous, pressured and confused. However, it gets easier in time. Just remember to add laughter whenever you can. It can brighten up your student’s day and your day as well.
Q: How do you provide More Than Tsada lessons to your students?
I never let my personal problems affect my work life. Sure, it’s difficult. But I think about how unfair it would be to my students if I don’t give them the lesson that they expect. So, I always make sure to focus on my lessons and enjoy it with them.
Q: What do you try to take care of during your lessons?
At the beginning of each lesson, I usually focus on rapport building since I want to make sure that my student should feel comfortable first. It is also a good way for me to know the mood, pace and personality of my students. Then, I can conduct lessons in the way which I think would be best for them.

Q: What is your personal motto?
Do everything with love!
Q: What keeps your energy level consistent?
The secret is to just enjoy what you do! When you like what you’re doing, you will be able to give your 100% all the time.

Q: What are your hobbies?
I watch A LOT of movies! I can actually watch 4-5 movies in a day when I have the time. The Shawshank Redemption is the best movie that I’ve watched so far. Because of it, I learned that hope is truly a powerful thing that can change anyone’s life! It’s a much-watch movie especially when you feel that life is knocking you down and you just need a little bit of motivation to make you feel better.
I also love to dance!
Q: What is your hidden talent?
Singing at the karaoke and getting 90-100% score every single time! (But the machine gives the same score to everyone though…)
Q: Who/what are your inspirations?
Though it may sound cliché, my inspiration are really my parents. I was able to see how they braved all the challenges in our lives just to send me to a good school and to give me a comfortable life. I hope that one day, I’ll be twice as strong as they are!
Q: Do you have any irrational fears?
I’m afraid of cockroaches. I can’t explain in detail but I just freak out every time I see one… most especially when it flies towards me!
Q: Describe your ideal guy.
Honest, faithful, God-fearing, sweet, and sensitive.
Q: Which body part are you most confident about?
I am most confident about my lips because I smile and talk with it. The smile on a woman’s face and the words that come out of her mouth make her lips sexier than any other body part.
Q: Would you rather have more time or more money?
I would rather have more time than money. For me, money can’t buy happiness but time can give us more chances to be happy!
Q: If you had 1 superpower, what would it be?
I would like to be able to teleport to different places all over the world. That way I can have coffee in France during my rest slot, eat lunch in America during my meal break, and visit Dubai right after my shift.
Q: What’s your favorite fast food chain?
Jollibee will always be my favorite. Their chicken is delicious, their spaghetti is to die for and their Yum burger is truly “Langhap-Sarap.” But aside from those things, Jollibee also brings back a lot of good memories with my family, friends, and even secret crushes! Wow! Jollibee should probably pay me for this. Haha!
